Leanna's Lins Wonderland in Eagle Rock is teaming up with neighboring businesses to offer deals and activities for "Small Business Saturday."

Steer clear of the mall and keep it small ? that?s the message behind this weekend?s other big holiday shopping promotion, ?Small Business Saturday.?

The owner of the craft boutique that bears her name - Leanna Lin?s Wonderland ? said she?s eager to take part in what she calls the ?shop small movement.? Lin adds that she puts her money where her mouth is.

?I?m really conscious of going to get my pet food at a small shop. You know, there?s even a new natural food store that opened that I try to go to?getting my hair cut down the street," she said. "It?s actually easier than you think so we?re just trying to make people aware of that.?

Lin and some neighboring small retail businesses on Eagle Rock Boulevard will host a ?block party? Saturday with activities and deals throughout the day to promote ?Small Business Saturday.? That and similar efforts across the country will get a big promotional boost from a major corporation, American Express.
